Three killed in bomb blast near Antwerp synagogue
| Antwerp, Belgium
A bomb exploded in an auto near a synagogue shortly before a scheduled Jewish religious ceremony Tuesday in a tremendous blast that killed three people and rocked the Hoveniersstraat - a largely Jewish area that is one of the world's greatest diamond cutting and selling districts.
Police said nearly 100 people were injured. It was the second anti-Jewish incident here in just over a year. In July of 1980, a Lebanese gunman threw a grenade into a bus being boarded by Jewish children.
