Into it: Martha Stewart

... Reading?

I'm reading constantly. I just finished The History of Love by Nicole Krauss and a two-volume monograph on the gardens of Jacques Wirtz [The Wirtz Gardens by Jacques Wirtz]. I'm currently reading Cormac McCarthy's new book, The Road.

I go to every movie – for research as well as enjoyment. I just saw a preview of The Good German [review, page 14], which was quite mesmerizing. Even Borat had moments of interest.

I absolutely love Leonard Cohen. After seeing the documentary "I'm Your Man," I went out and bought all of his music that I didn't already own. In between takes of "The Martha Stewart Show," music is played for the audience, reflecting the work of the guests we are interviewing, mixed with my favorite artists like Eminem.

"The Martha Stewart Show," covering topics ranging from cooking to home renovation, is a daily, syndicated show (check local listings.) "Martha Stewart's Homekeeping Handbook" is now in bookstores.
