Chelsea Sheasley is an editor on the National News desk, where she focuses on Monitor coverage of immigration, the military and national security, and climate and the environment. She is located outside of Boston. 

Chelsea was an education reporter at the Monitor during the COVID-19 pandemic. She covered the sudden transition to remote schooling, learning loss, high-impact tutoring, homeschooling and learning pods, as well as the fierce debates over pandemic protocols, critical race theory, how U.S. history is taught, and the role of parents in education. 

Previously, Chelsea served as Asia editor for the Monitor and reported from Pakistan through a journalism exchange program. She also reported from Israel and the West Bank while interning with the Monitor's Jerusalem bureau chief.
