Nobel Prize-winning author Gabriel García Márquez is best known for his novels "Love in the Time of Cholera" and "One Hundred Years of Solitude" and is recognized for his use of the writing style called magical realism in his stories. But Márquez also worked as a journalist, often expressing his opposition to the Colombian government through his work. According to a statement from his publisher released in 2010, the author has finished a new novel, titled "We'll Meet in August," but a release date has not yet been announced. To mark his 85th birthday on March 6, here are 10 quotes from the great Colombian writer.
"He who awaits much can expect little."
