President Obama went on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ in March 2009 as part of a series of appearances to discuss the Recovery Act – the government’s response to the recession. Obama also took this message to ‘Late Night With David Letterman’ in September of 2009, an episode in which he was the only guest.
Obama also appeared on ‘The View,’ an ABC daytime talk show, in July.
