Former DNC chief Howard Dean has joined the CNBC ranks as a contributor.

It's a match made in heaven.

Howard Dean and Rick Santelli on the same network? You bet.

It'll be the best duo since Patrick Swayze and Chris Farley performed as Chippendales.

New talking head

CNBC broke the news today that the former DNC chief is joining the network.

"That should terrify you," Dean said appearing on the set.

You see they don't want a sweet, sensitive, and meek little lamb joining their team. There's really no need for that - Jim Cramer's got that position covered. They want classic Dean.

"This is cable. You need to ratchet it up a little bit," Squawk Box host Jim Kernen told Dean.

He fit right in.

When Kernen mentioned to him, however, that they were a "balanced network," Dean made a crucifix with his hands and said, "Isn't there another network that uses that slogan?"
