Kim's son prominent at N. Korean party congress

Kim Chong-II, son of North Korea's President, Kim II-Sung, was appointed to a major committee at the North Korean Communist Party Congress -- a further sign that he is likely to succeed his father. The congress appointed a committee to draft a report on the functions of the party's Central Committee. Kim Chong-II was the first to be named to the committee, immediately after his father.
