ISRAEL'S VICE-PREMIER VISITS POLAND
| WARSAW
Polish-born Israeli Vice-Premier Shimon Peres arrived in Poland yesterday for a four-day official visit to open a new chapter in relations severed over the 1967 Middle East War. ``I didn't come to settle any accounts but to open a new chapter,'' Mr. Peres told reporters after arriving in Warsaw for the highest-level Israeli visit since Warsaw and most other East-bloc states broke off relations in 1967. Warsaw resumed low-level ties in 1986, and Hungary restored full diplomatic relations last September.
