- Boy Scouts proposal to allow gay youths draws fire from both sides
The Boy Scouts drafted the proposal on gay youths after sending surveys to about 1 million members. Many respondents, the organization said Friday, felt that youths should not be denied the benefits of Scouting.
- Florist sued again for refusing to provide flowers for gay wedding
The ACLU has filed a discrimination lawsuit against a florist in Washington State who says she would not sell flowers for a gay couple's wedding because of her religious beliefs. The state is already prosecuting her under a consumer protection law.
- Second suspect charged in revenge killings of Texas prosecutors
Authorities charged Eric Williams with capital murder Thursday in the case of two slain prosecutors for Kaufman County, Texas. His wife is also charged, and officials say the motive was revenge.
- Mississippi man charged in ricin attacks was an Elvis impersonator
Paul Kevin Curtis has been arrested and charged with making threats against the president and sending letters threatening to injure other persons. Relatives, who call him a 'super entertainer,' are shocked.
- Wife of disgraced judge charged with murder in Texas DA case
Officials in Texas' Kaufman County have charged a woman with capital murder in the deaths of the county's DA, his wife, and the assistant DA. Her husband, a judge who lost his job, has also been charged with making 'terroristic threats.'
