Iranian governor bars newsmen from Tabriz

The governor general of East Azerbaijan Province has banned all foreign journalists from the troubled northwestern city of Tabriz, according to the official news agency, Pars. It was the first time all foreign reporters had been barred from an area of Iran since last February's Islamic revolution.
