US and Soviet Union send ambassadors back

The United States and the Soviet Union will send their ambassadors back to each other's capitals tomorrow despite the growing freeze in their relations, as State Department official said Thursday. US Ambassador Thomas Watson was summoned home for consultations shortly after the Soviet military incursion into Afghanistan at the end of last month. anatoly dobrynin, Soviet ambassador to the United States since 1962, has been in Moscow since early December.
