Cambodia's ousted Khmer Rouge government has accused Vietnam of killing 17 persons with toxic chemicals in air attacks. The Khmer Rouge radio, believed to be broadcasting from southern China, said a Vietnamese plane sprayed an area in the Leach district of western Pursat Province on Jan. 17 and 20.
Vietnam, which has an estimated 200,000 troops in Cambodia supporting the pro-Soviet government, has denied previous accusations of using chemical warfare in its one-year-old fight against guerrillas of the ousted government.
