Deported from Japan, McCartney files home

Blaming his "American attitude" toward drugs for his deportation from Japan, former Beatle Paul McCartney flew home Saturday after 10 days in a Tokyo jail for possession of about a half-pound of marijuana, which he said he bought in New York. Prosecutors said they decided to deport Mr. McCartney, who faced up to seven years in jail if convicted of narcotics smuggling, because he brought in the marijuana for his own use.
