Rhodesia guerrilla claims a plot by authorities

Robert Mugabe, the black guerrilla leader, accused the Rhodesian Security forces Monday of trying to kill him and said the governor, Lord Soames, was responsible. Mr. Mugabe, who missed death by moments when a bomb exploded under his car Sunday, said Britain, South Africa, and the Rhodesian authorities were plotting to eliminate him from this month's elections.

He said he would meet Lord Soames Tuesday and tell him that if Rhodesian Forces and auxiliaries were not confined to barracks and if his party, the Zimbabwe African National Union Patriotic Front, were banned in any area, he would pull out of the cease-fire. Mr. Mugabe said that under such circumstances he would tell his guerrillas, most of whom are now gathered in cease-fire assembly points around the country, to return to the bush.
