Robert Kane, head of the US Olympic Committee, criticized the Carter administration Thursday for saying its decision to boycott the Olympic Games in Moscow was irrevocable. But he added that the committee would have no choice but to go along with the government-urged boycott, imposed in retaliation for the Soviet intervention in Afghanistan.
Mr. Kane said the committee, which had already said it would observe a boycott if the government wished, could not make a final decision before its meeting April 11-13.
