The United Nations Commission investigating Iran's grievances against the Shah said Wednesday that Foreign Minister Sadeq Ghotbzadeh had given fresh assurances that the panel would soon see all the US Embassy hostages. But the secretary of the ruling Revolutionary Council said the body was still discussing details of the planned visit and had not so far referred the problem to the revolutionary leader, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.
And the students who have been holding the 50 hostages at the occupied US mission since Nov. 4 said they were sticking to their position that the UN panel could see only some of the captives, and then only as witnesses for their inquiry.
