Second quake in 24 hours felt in South Pacific

A strong earthquake shook the Tonga Islands in the South Pacific early Wednesday, the second earthquake to hit the area in less than 24 hours, the US Geological Survey reported.
The quake was centered northeast of the Tonga capital of Nuku'alofa and about 400 miles south of Pago Pago in American Samoa. The latest tremor registered 6. 7 on the Richter scale.
