Campaign Roundup (4)
April 21, 1980
President Carter's image-maker Gerald Rafshoon has gone on the offensive in the Pennsylvania primary campaign by introducing a series of anti-Kennedy television commercials.
The ads, being aired in the days approaching Tuesday's primary, consist of man-in-the-street interviews with Pennsylvanians critical of Senator Kennedy and his programs. Rafshoon told the Boston Globe: "We're just showing what people really think of the senator on his spending programs and his flip-flops."
