Salvadoran troops engage guerrillas in stiff fight

At least 100 left-wing guerrillas and 10 soldiers were killed in heavy fighting in an area near the Honduras border, military sources reported Sunday. The troops clashed Saturday with guerrillas who moved in force into northern Chalatenango Province early last month.
