If someone is threatening to kill you, it's only natural to look around for some helpful friends. That's what is happening with many Libyans now living outside their homeland.
Libyan leader Col. Muammar al-Qaddafi continues to press his campaign to literally wipe out opponents living abroad.So anti- Qaddafi Libyans show signs of grouping into a "united front" in neighboring Egypt.
Cairo diplomats say there have been a pair of recent meetings there of dissidents. They included at least two former senior officials in the Qaddafi regime.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Kamal Hassan Ali said recently it would seem "very natural" for expatriate Libyan dissidents to unite, adding: "Our position is to support any people fleeing from dictatorship and those who are subject to [ threats of] killing."
