The Amazing Night

July 7, 1980

One night in May, after dinner, I saw some beautiful air ballons up in the sky. One was orange, and the other one was red, white, and blue. Then my dad and I went into the front yard and all of a sudden a beautiful butterfly was dancing in the air. Then I went inside and got a jar to catch it. But I realized that I didn't need to because I loved it and he or she loved me. So he wasn't afraid of me and he kept on landing on my shoulder and even let me touch him. I was playing with him for forty-five minutes. He kept on circling above me, and going back on me. Sometimes he would land on my should, and sometimes on my hand. He even let me take him for a walk.
