The Justice Department this week released formal guidelines for federal prosecutors that Attorney General Benjamin Civiletti calls "a monumental accomplishment in the history of the Justice Department."
"Principles of Federal Prosecution," a 56-page booklet that took three years to draft, is the first nationwide standard for prosecution and an attempt to eliminate disparity and wasted effort between investigative and prosecutive agencies.
