Thailand resolves dispute over aid to Cambodians

The Thai government and international organizations feeding hungry Cambodians along Thailand's eastern border have resolved a month-long dispute over supplies of aid to Aranyaprathet, an area controlled by Khmer Rouge guerrillas.

Relief agency sources said the international Committee of the Red Cross will confine itself to medical work and protection activities. Aid supplies will now only be undertaken by the United Nations Children's Fund and the World Food Program with help from voluntary agencies.

The row was prompted by international organizations insisting they not be responsible for feeding any of the participants in the fighting.
