China plans to introduce a new employment policy and encourage individuals to work for themselves in a move to provide more jobs, the New China News Agency reported Tuesday. It said the decisions were made at a national labor and employment conference held recently in Peking.
The new policy includes more help for cooperatives and one-man businesses, shorter working hours, and more shifts in factories to provide extra jobs.
