Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin cut short his visit to the United States and flew home to face no-confidence motions over his government's handling of the economy. Asked on ABC's "Good Morning America" if his government was in jeopardy, he said: "The crisis may take place but it is not yet there. . . ."

Mr. Begin who met with President Carter last week, repeated his view that the US should maintain forced in the Middle East. He also said he was sure the Israeli-Egyptian-American summit planned under President Carter would take place with President- elect Ronald REagan, if Mr. Reagan called for such a conference.
