Taipei, Taiwan
Expressing hope for better relations with the United States, Premier Y. S. Sun said he has submitted his shopping list of weapons and military parts to the Reagan administration. No details were given, but previous government statements said the island wants advanced jet fighters.
Meanwhile, the Dutch Parliament voted 77-70 to reject the government's approval last year of the export of two submarines to Taiwan. The Cabinet's approval of the deal had resulted in the curtailment of business with China and moves in Peking to limit or sever diplomatic relations with The Hague.
