The American Bar Association has nominated a woman to serve on its board of governors for the first time in the organization's 103-year history. Jane Barrett, a partner in a Los Angeles law firm, was unanimously nominated to the 23-member board by delegates to the midyear convention here. Her election is virtually certain at the association's annual convention next august in New Orleans. Miss Barrett became the first woman elected president of the association's Young Law yers Division last August.
