Irish officials plan inquiry into fire at discotheque

A special day of mourning has been called by the Irish government for today (Feb. 17) to pay tribute to the 49 people who died in a Dublin discotheque fire early last Friday.
Coming to terms with the biggest single disaster to hit Dublin in modern times is proving difficult for this city, writes correspondent Philip Whitfield. In an emotional reflex action, officials have cancelled social functions and Gaelic football games. The government has ordered a sworn inquiry in to the tragedy to determine the causes.
