Islamic and non-aligned peace missions are expected to visit Iran and Iraq next month in a new bid to end the Gulf war, Indian government officials said Tuesday. A Foreign Ministry spokesman quoted visiting President Ahmed Sekou Toure of Guinea as saying in talks with Prime Minister Indira Gandhi that an Islamic Conference Organization (ICO) mission was likely to visit the two warring countries again, probably next month.
The Guinean leader, who arrived on a four-day state visit to India, heads the eight-man ICO mission set up by the Islamic conference last January.
