East Hanover, N.J.
Nabisco Inc. announced last week that it had pulled boxes of a new product, Country Crackers, off grocery shelves, saying the product may have been contaminated with small bits of copper wire.
Nabisco's director of public relations, Mel Grayson, said the company had received assurances that the contamination did not constitute a health hazard, but had voluntarily withdrawn the product. All previously distributed boxes have been called in and refunds are being sent to cus tomers who mail in the boxtop.
