Hispanic-Americans are facing the future with new confidence. Results of a study released April 2 by Hispanic Opinion & Preference Inc. indicate the 15 million Hispanics living on the US mainland have a high degree of satisfaction with their communities and overwhelmingly expect that their children's educational and employment prospects will be better than theirs.

And good news for the auto industry: The survey found that Hispanics expect to make more major purchases in 1981 than they did last year, especially of cars and appl iances.m
