Look, Ma, no flash -- Polaroids latest
Boston
Polaroid Corporation took the wraps off two new cameras and a high-speed film which the company is billing as "a summation of automatic photography," Monitor staff writer Marjorie Coeyman reports. With the push of a button the fully automated cameras -- the Polaroid Autofocus 660 Land Camera and the Polaroid 640 Land Camera -- can make up to 42 electronic decisions. The cameras feature an integral strobe that automatically blends light, doing away with flash attachments and making indoor and outdoor photography easier and more accurate.
The new 600 system -- to be marketed as Polaroid Sun cameras --produces photos that are sharper, clearer, and more accurate than those taken by previous models. The camer as will be available to dealers within 4 to 6 weeks.
