Capital outlays: USSR to be tops?

The United States will lose its place as the world's No. 1 capital spending nation by 1995 -- to the Soviet Union. This is the conclusion of World Capital Spending, an analysis recently published by Predicasts Research Group in Cleveland. The analysis predicts that USSR capital spending will exceed $381 billion by 1995, while capital spending by the US will hover around $373 billion.
Total world capital spending will reach $2.8 trillion by 1995, with the USSR, US, Japa n, and China together accounting for 47 percent.
