Woman expelled by US gets 'life' for war crimes

Hermine Ryan, extradited from the United States to face charges in what turned out to be West Germany's longest war-crimes trial, was sentenced Tuesday to life in prison. Judge Gunter Bogen sentenced seven other defendants to terms rangi ng from 3 to 12 years.
