The man who worked diplomatic miracles in ending the Rhodesian guerilla war is going to try his hand at reviving a European peace initiative in the Middle East.
Lord Carrington, the British foreign secretary, flies to Saudi Arabia today (Nov. 3) as emissary of the 10-member European Community (EC) for talks on Saudi Arabia's eight-point peace plan for settling the Arab-Israeli conflict.
