Antinuclear 'teach-ins' held on many campuses

A nationwide ''teach-in'' on nuclear war took place on 150 college campuses across the US on Wednesday, reports Monitor staff writer Susan Garland, timed to coincide with Veterans Day and - conincidentally - the launching of the nation's first nuclear Trident submarine in Groton, Conn.
Sponsored by the Union of Concerned Scientists, the teach-ins may also have received a thrust from much-debated remarks by President Reagan and Secretary of State Alexander Haig regarding the possibility of a ''limited'' nuclear confrontation in Europe.
