New Publishing Society Trustee

December 3, 1981

J. Robert Erwin of Dallas has been named a Trustee of The Christian Science Publishing Society. The appointment, effective Jan. 1, 1982, was announced by The Christian Science Board of Directors and the Board of Trustees.

The Publishing Society is publisher of The Christian Science Monitor and the religious periodicals of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston.

Mr. Erwin succeeds Zadie Hatfield, a Trustee since 1976 and former Manager of the Publishing Society.

From 1965 to 1972, Mr. Erwin served in personnel management at the Christian Science Center in Boston. He subsequently joined Liquid Paper Corporation in Dallas, serving as a president and director. More recently, he has been active in international trade consulting.

He has served as president of the International Trade Association of Dallas and as a member of the District Export Council of the United States Department of Commerce.

Miss Hatfield asked to be released from the office of Trustee in order to devote more time to the work of the office of Publisher's Agent and its direct attention to the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, who discovered and founded Christian Science.
