Poland rethinking unions' strike rights

A Polish official said the government was reexamining the right of unions to strike, one of the main gains of the Polish union Solidarity after nationwide strikes in 198O.
According to Poland's official news agency PAP, Justice Minister Sylwester Zawadski said the strike issue ''requires some rethinking.'' One of the main charges the government has made against Solidarity is that it exceeded its authority by becoming a political organization.
