For better looks of draft, chimney pots hard to find

Q. Where can I obtain chimney pots? We want to both increase the draft and beautify the chimney. Paul Keene Penns Creek, Pa.

A. Chimney pots, either in cylindrical or prismoidial form, add height to the top of a chimney, thus increasing the draft. Some are ornamental in design or shape and may be glazed to provide additional resistance, not only to weathering , but also to the chemicals in the flue gasses.

There apparently are only a few sources of chimney pots left in the US. Such pots may be available from the following:
