Experts shown 'proof' of Nicaragua role in Salvador

Facing demands for evidence to back charges that Nicaragua controls El Salvador's guerrillas, the Reagan administration showed its intelligence information to 25 defense and foreign-policy experts. The group, none of whom is known to be opposed to the administration's Central American policy, called the intelligence persuasive.

Former White House counsel Lloyd Cutler said he was satisfied Nicaragua was ''materially assisting the Salvadoran guerrillas to organize and command their forces.'' Former Ambassador Anne Armstrong said the case had been proven ''without question.''
