A little-known Lebanese group claimed responsibility for Wednesday's machine-gun attack on the Israeli Embassy in Paris. ''The Lebanese Armed Revolutionary Factions'' had also said it was responsible for the murder in January of a US military attache, Lt. Col. Charles Ray, in Paris. A statement by the group said the United States and Israel were responsible for the ''slaughter'' of the Lebanese people.
