$60 million in Taiwan arms going to Congress for OK

The Reagan administration - over Peking's strongest objections - will send Congress by midweek a proposed $60 million sale of military spare parts to Taiwan, according to a Senate source.

Congress has a two-house veto over any foreign military sale valued at more than $50 million. The proposal will go through as requested unless both House and Senate reject it by majority votes within 30 days after the package is received.
