Honduras hijacking ends guerrillas flee to Cuba

The hijacking of a Honduran airliner ended when four leftist guerrillas released 13 remaining hostages in return for a flight to Cuba, officials at Tegucigalpa's international airport said. The guerrillas, who seized the plane April 28 agreed to drop their demands for the release of 39 ''political prisoners'' and a $150,000 ransom.

Authorities rejected the demands, saying there were no political prisoners in Honduras. A few hours before the end of the hijack, nine men, including six Americans, managed to break a cabin window and run to safety.
