The offices of two legislators denied they had invited the Palestine Liberation Organization's (PLO) chief diplomat to visit Washington next month. Palestinian officials had said Farouk Kaddoumi was invited by Rep. Lee H. Hamilton (D) of Indiana, chairman of the House Middle East subcommittee, and Sen. Charles H. Percy (R) of Illinois, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
