The latest long-delayed disclosure goes back to the 1950s when a federal judge accepted government evidence and ruled against ranchers claiming fallout from nuclear tests had killed 4,400 sheep. Now the same judge has vacated that decision, citing government deception as well as improper attempts to pressure witnesses. He has scheduled a new trial -- and roused the interest of former Interior Secretary Udall, who represents more than 500 people claiming damages to their families from those same bomb tests. This time let the cycle of dishonesty stop.
