On the 37th anniversary of Korea's division into two nations, South Korea's Chun Doo Hwan called on his counterpart in the communist north to join him in an urgent reunification summit meeting.
In a ceremony at the Sejong Cultural Center, Mr. Chun said his government would let any Korean -- irrespective of ideology -- visit the south, where socialist and communist political activities are banned.
