A resolution calling for a State Department investigation into charges that slave labor will be used by the Soviet Union on the natural gas pipeline to Europe was introduced Tuesday by Sen. William L. Armstrong (R) of Colorado.
France and West Germany previously ordered investigations into the allegation. The resolution calls for a preliminary report by the State Department within 30 days and a complete report by Jan. 1.
