Clarification

In a July 30 story concerning a meeting of the Rolls-Royce Owners Club, New England region, Gerry Martel told of building a ''Rolls-Royce station wagon'' by adding the Rolls-Royce nose, fenders, bumpers, etc., to a 1972 Ford Country Squire.

The Rolls-Royce management in the US, in its effort to protect the car's radiator, hood ornament, and name badge, asserts it does not approve such ''conversions.''
