Lebanon's President-elect Bashir Gemayel was buried under rubble almost an hour and mildly injured Tuesday when a 440-pound bomb devastated his Falangist Party headquarters here, Falangist sources said.
Between 50 and 60 people in the building in Christian east Beirut may have been killed, the sources said, adding that the huge bomb exploded in the ground floor of the buidling as Mr. Gemayel was holding a regular Tuesday meeting with officials.
