Guatemalan copters said to be overflying Mexico

Guatemalan helicopters armed with machine guns, engaging in an offensive against left-wing rebels, have been repeatedly flying into Mexican airspace during the past two weeks despite Mexico's sharp protest over border violations, relief officials reported Thursday.

Meanwhile, diplomatic sources confirmed a report in the newspaper Excelsior which quoted Mexican peasants as saying that more than 100 armed Guatemalans moved into the area last Wednesday.
